Pagecraft

Build Visually. Publish Natively.

Based on ContentBox.js, PageCraft brings flexible visual page building directly into ExpressionEngine. Editors can create rich, responsive layouts inside the EE publish form using sections, blocks, grids, forms, and dynamic content—while developers stay in control of the design system, available components, and front-end code.

See PageCraft in action

The best way to understand PageCraft is to use it. Try the live demo below to add sections, arrange content, and see how quickly a page comes together right inside the ExpressionEngine publish experience.

A Note on Blocks: Blocks are drag-and-drop inline elements that can be added inside most sections or moved above or below an existing section to create a new one. A block can’t be the first element on a page, though—you’ll need to add at least one section to the canvas before adding blocks.

Images stay in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Your work saves to this browser only. HTML tab shows the exact markup PageCraft stores.

Visual Freedom Without Losing Control

Most page builders make you choose between flexibility and consistency. PageCraft gives editors room to build while letting developers define the boundaries.

Edit faster without turning every page into a design experiment.

Control the sections, blocks, colors, styles, and tools available on the canvas. No more digging through template code or css file to make changes to your layouts.

Start With a Section. Make It Yours.

Build pages from a curated library of ready-to-use sections. Drop one onto the canvas, change the content, swap imagery, adjust the layout, and customize the styling without leaving the publish screen.

Save and re-use.

Made something worth using again? Save your customized section as a reusable template and add it to your library for future pages.

Add dynamic content.

Visual layouts do not have to mean static content.

PageCraft can bring ExpressionEngine content directly into your layouts, letting you build sections that pull from channels, entries, relationships, and other structured content sources. Use the visual builder for presentation while EE continues doing what it does best: managing the content behind it.

That means blog feeds, team members, products, locations, testimonials, portfolios, or other repeating content can stay dynamic instead of being manually recreated on every page.

Bring Your Own Front End

PageCraft does not ask you to rebuild your website around the builder.

Use your existing CSS, JavaScript, imagery, fonts, and front-end framework. Bootstrap, Tailwind, your own design system, or something entirely custom—PageCraft works with the stack you already have.

Additional Features

Form Builder

PageCraft’s Form Builder lets editors assemble forms visually using common field types, validation options, and configurable actions. Forms can be added alongside the rest of the page content instead of being built somewhere else and dropped in later.

Nav Builder

PageCraft’s Navigation Builder lets you create menu structures, customize styling, reorder links, build nested navigation, or just tap in to your existing Structure nav links. Lock it, and your nav will be rendered on all your other pages.

Grid Builder

PageCraft’s Grid Builder lets editors create columns, adjust widths, rearrange content, and build more complex page structures visually. Start from common grid presets or build your own layout, then populate each column with the blocks you need.

Flexible Configurations

PageCraft gives you control before an editor ever touches the canvas. Define approved colors, styles, sections, blocks, and layout options so every page begins inside the boundaries of the brand. Editors can move faster without having to become designers. Developers spend less time fixing creative interpretations of “just make it pop.”

Custom Templates

Import custom HTML sections and connect them to your existing CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts, and framework. PageCraft can turn those layouts into reusable visual building blocks while preserving the code and styling your site already relies on.

Bootstrap and Tailwind Ready

PageCraft ships with built-in support for Bootstrap and Tailwind, giving you a ready-to-go foundation for responsive grids, spacing, utilities, and common layout patterns. Choose the approach that fits your project, then build visually without having to wire up the framework from scratch. Prefer your own system? You can still bring custom CSS and front-end conventions into the mix.

Let’s build something worth talking about.
